Counselling

PTU offers telephonic counselling as well as personal or on-line counselling by a number of experts such as legal advisors, social workers, doctors and physiotherapists.

Information

You will receive the bimonthly members’ magazine “Livtag”, featuring relevant and exciting articles about anything from everyday tips to the latest news on treatment opportunities. You can also subscribe to PTU’s newsletter to receive the latest news on research within polio injuries, injuries to the spinal cord, whiplash injuries as well as other injuries resulting from e.g. traffic accidents.

Promoting the interests of its members

PTU focuses upon the challenges and opportunities that its members meet with. For example, PTU fights for the recognition of whiplash as a diagnosis in the healthcare system, and for spreading the knowledge of post polio among Danish doctors.

Seminars and events

You may attend conferences and professional events where interesting experts can stimulate your knowledge of anything from stem cell research to sex and relationships. You will also have the opportunity to attend field trips, presentations and visits to the theatre, all of which is arranged by PTU’s 17 local communities.

Holidays and leisure time

You can arrange your holiday through PTU. It is possible to rent one of PTU’s six well located holiday houses, join a vacation abroad arranged by PTU once a year or attend summer school at Egmont Højskolen.
