PTU

What is PTU?

PTU is a national association that is engaged in creating equal conditions and increased quality of life for people suffering from serious injuries caused by an accident or a disease. PTU specialises in:

  • Improving the conditions for people suffering from serious injuries
  • Supporting its members through counselling, seminars and events
  • Providing information about the members of the association and making them visible

This task is carried out in collaboration with the many volunteers all over the country who help the 9,000 members affected by:

  • Injury caused by accident
  • Whiplash injury
  • Injury to the spinal cord
  • Polio

PTU also runs a specialised hospital for people with permanent mobility disabilities and a car department which makes it possible for handicapped people to drive on their own.
